These teams demonstrate the powerful combination of clinical expertise and high-touch service, while improving outcomes and delivering an empowered experience for patients.

What are Specialty360 Therapy Teams?
At AllianceRx Walgreens Pharmacy, we serve people with chronic, complex therapeutic needs who require a higher level of personalized attention. Our Specialty360 Therapy Teams are dedicated, multi-disciplinary teams of pharmacy professionals who work together to provide comprehensive, coordinated patient care. Today, we have Specialty360 Therapy Teams dedicated to specific therapeutic areas including oncology, hemophilia, pulmonary conditions, fertility, and neurology.
How are Specialty360 Therapy Teams beneficial in managing different disease states?
We have more than 1,000 clinical and patient support specialists – including pharmacists, nurses, financial service reps, infusion care specialists and patient care advocates – all of whom work together to anticipate and address patient needs. Our patients and providers benefit from the expertise that comes along with team members focused on specific therapies.
For example, cystic fibrosis is a highly complex and potentially life-threatening condition. There are over 80 experts on our Specialty360 Cystic Fibrosis Therapy Team, devoted to helping patients throughout their treatment journey with the goal of optimizing their care. The team works closely with the prescribing physician to support a wide range of needs, including enabling prompt access to their treatment, navigating any insurance hurdles, connecting them with foundations and patient assistance programs to help them financially, and addressing nutritional needs.
Our Specialty360 teams provide surround-sound support that can really help improve a patient’s quality of life.
What do AllianceRx Walgreens Pharmacy’s Specialty360 Therapy teams of the future look like for improving patient care?
We are excited about our Specialty360 Therapy Teams currently in place and anticipate this model of care evolving further. To continue providing comprehensive care, AllianceRx Walgreens Pharmacy’s Specialty360 Therapy Teams will expand to include new roles of social workers, dieticians and case managers who will help support custom patient interventions for our clients. We will also enhance our digital capabilities by providing patients with two-way chat and video conference options when interacting with our teams. It’s all part of how we offer support and assistance services to move patients quickly into therapy and collaborate to meet their individual healthcare needs.
