How Our Nurses Make a Difference

May is National Nurses Month, a time to honor our nurses who help make better tomorrows possible for our patients. This year, the American Nursing Association selected the theme, Nurses Make a Difference, to honor the varying roles of nurses and their positive impact on our lives. Nurses make a difference as trusted advocates who help ensure individuals, families and populations receive quality patient care and services.

The same holds true for nurses at AllianceRx Walgreens Pharmacy. As clinical caregivers, our more than 40 nurses nurture our patients, help them navigate the healthcare system, and provide a caring face for those going through challenging times.

At AllianceRx Walgreens Pharmacy, our nurses play important roles as members of our patients’ care team. They include:

• Care management nurses

• Fertility nurses

• Clinical education specialists

• Infusion care nurses

• Utilization management nurses

• Nursing network nurses

Meet some of the nurses who have a sincere desire to help our patients achieve their health goals, feel better and live a healthier life.

“I love working with our team,” she says. “We have such wonderful nurses at AllianceRx Walgreens Pharmacy who truly care about our patients.” Her advice for others interested in a nursing career?

“Be prepared for hard work. Protect yourself against burnout by advocating for yourself. Nursing is not easy, but it is so fulfilling.”
